Yes. Our minimum project fee is $50 USD, which covers documents of up to approximately 400 words at the standard rate. For very short documents such as birth certificates, diplomas, or single-page contracts, a flat minimum applies. For interpretation, the minimum booking is a 2-hour remote session or a half-day for onsite. There is no minimum for localization audits or scoping calls.
Word count is calculated from the source document — the original language you are translating from, not the target language. We use professional CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) to provide an exact word count before quoting. For scanned PDFs or image-based documents, we use OCR to extract text first. We share the word count report with you so you can verify the count before confirming the project.
For onsite interpretation within major cities (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Miami, Los Angeles), the listed rates typically include local travel. For events outside these cities or in more remote locations, travel and accommodation costs are quoted separately and transparently. We always disclose these costs upfront in your quote so there are no surprise additions after the event.

For new clients, we typically require a 50% deposit before beginning work, with the remaining 50% upon delivery. For returning clients with established payment history, net-30 invoicing is available. For certified translation projects with urgent deadlines, full payment upfront may be required. We accept credit cards, PayPal, and international wire transfers. All payment terms are stated clearly in your project confirmation.
We offer unlimited revision rounds on Professional and Certified tiers, and one free revision on Standard. If a translation does not meet our quality standards or your brief, we will re-do it at no extra charge. In the rare case of a material error — a mistranslation that changes meaning — we provide a full or partial refund depending on the scope of the issue.
